I created Doggie TLC in 2019 after struggling to find the right place for my Doberman when I travelled for work. Kennels weren’t the answer, so when I eventually left the London rat race, I decided to create the kind of care I had been looking for — a home-from-home where dogs feel happy, calm, exercised and understood. Doggie TLC provides personalised daycare and overnight boarding from my home, with flexibility to fit around each owner’s schedule. I have a secure, dog-proof paddock next to my home, where dogs can socialise, play and relax, as well as a purpose-built Swiss cabin where they can have their own space to rest and unwind. I believe dogs need more than exercise; they need companionship, variety, mental stimulation and to feel understood. I’ve completed various dog training and behaviour courses to deepen my understanding, and together with my small, trusted team of fellow dog lovers, I make sure the dogs in our care are never left alone. We deliberately keep numbers small — just six dogs during the day and four overnight — allowing us to provide genuinely individual attention. Many of our clients return time and again, with some even planning their holidays around our availability. I’m proud that the dogs love coming here just as much as their owners value the care we provide.
