Best Cat Boarding Service - Redruth 2026

Lodge Farm Cattery opened in 2002, following an extensive renovation of what was previously a chicken farm. Situated in the parish of Wendron, our cattery is located in Calvadnack, a World Heritage site where the remnants of an Iron Age settlement can still be found today. Our farm is privately situated and only accessible via our private lane, providing a peaceful and secure setting away from busy roads. Small by choice, personal by nature As a small, family-run cattery, we believe there are some real advantages to keeping things that way. With just 15 chalets, we are able to give our guests a much more personal level of care. We get to know each cat individually — their little quirks, their routines, their likes and dislikes and, importantly, what makes them feel comfortable and settled. Every cat is different, just like us humans, and we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Being small means we can take the time to give each guest individual attention throughout their stay, rather than simply being one of many cats. We pride ourselves on knowing our guests and treating them as individuals, helping them feel as relaxed and at home as possible while their owners are away. A family business with decades of experience Now spanning two generations, Lodge Farm Cattery has grown gradually over the years, from our original 5 cabins to the 15 chalets we have today. As we approach our 25th year in 2027, we are proud to have built more than two decades of experience caring for cats. Our aim has remained the same throughout: to provide a safe, comfortable and homely home-from-home where cats receive attentive, individual care. We have deliberately remained a small cattery, allowing us to maintain the personal service and attention to detail that we believe makes Lodge Farm different. Our accommodation We provide a quirky, homely feel with our individually themed pens, each designed with cats’ comfort and enrichment in mind. 1 XL Family Beach Hut – “Captain Nemo’s Pirate Shack” Named after one of our much-loved kitty customers, this spacious family pen provides over 10m² of indoor and outdoor sleeping and exercise space. It includes RHR wall-climbing steps, ladders, a bed and hammock. 4 Double Beach Huts Featuring raised areas, a hidey box and access to a large outdoor catio. 6 Kitty Apartments With low raised areas, a hidey box and level access to outside, these are particularly suitable for elderly or less mobile cats. 4 Double Kitty Cottages Featuring raised areas, a hidey box and access to a large outdoor catio. All of our pens have covered outdoor catios, allowing your cats to enjoy fresh air, wildlife and the wonderful countryside views from the safety of their own private accommodation. Little comforts that make a big difference We provide wall-mounted scratching posts, comfortable beds, blankets, play tunnels and toys, although you are very welcome to bring your cat’s own familiar belongings too. Our entire indoor chalet is heated — not just the sleeping area — so during the colder months your cat can stay warm and cosy throughout their accommodation. We also have full HD video surveillance across the premises for additional reassurance, while each chalet has its own CCTV camera to allow me to carry out additional observation checks and keep a close eye on our guests. A home away from home Since opening, our passion has always been to provide a safe and comfortable home away from home, where owners can have peace of mind knowing their cats are receiving individual attention and care while they are away. Over the years we have continually invested in and updated the cattery, and during the last 24 months we have carried out a number of improvements to ensure our facilities continue to provide a comfortable, enriching environment for our four-legged and sometimes three-legged guests. We may be a small cattery, but we believe that is one of our greatest strengths. Small enough to know every cat, experienced enough to understand that every cat is different, and dedicated enough to give them the individual care they deserve.
