In-Depth Profile
LOLA Restaurant
LOLA – Spanisches Tapas Restaurant is an Andalusian corner in the heart of Vienna, located at Gonzagagasse 14 (1010 Vienna).
Founded by Ramón Fernández, originally from Granada, the restaurant is a tribute to his aunt Lola, a key figure in his life whose teachings of warmth and tradition inspire not only its name but also the spirit of the place.
With a philosophy that prioritizes sincere hospitality, high-quality ingredients, and respect for sustainability, LOLA offers an authentically Spanish culinary experience.
Its menu celebrates Andalusian cuisine and beyond: traditional tapas such as gambas al ajillo, tortilla de patatas, and patatas bravas are served alongside more elaborate dishes and sharing plates inspired by various regions of Spain.
The team has deep roots in Andalusia: chef Francisco Manuel “Fran” Medina Muñoz (from Córdoba), Remedios “Reme” Tinoco Maraver (also from Córdoba), and Francisco “Paco” Maldonado Sánchez (from Granada) form the human heart of the restaurant, bringing experience, warmth, and a family spirit.
LOLA is not just a restaurant—it is an invitation to embark on a sensory journey to Spain without leaving Vienna. Its intimate atmosphere, music, selection of Spanish wines, and the sharing-style presentation of the dishes encourage the conviviality that is so characteristic of a true Spanish table.
