Climat-Alerte is a pioneering climate action and civic mobilization initiative in Central Africa, driven by MEDIAPRO CAMEROON COOP-CA—an accredited United Nations service provider (UNGM #692753) and an official institutional member of the UNFCCC’s PCCB Network. Operating at the intersection of grassroots environmental journalism and nature-based solutions, the project transforms schools and local municipalities into active hubs for climate adaptation. Through its flagship Climat-Alerte Roadshow—a traveling television broadcast and field-action platform—the initiative bridges institutional advocacy with community-led governance. Backed by an elite interdisciplinary board of senior government advisors, university scientists, and media experts, Climat-Alerte is deploying its “One Pupil, One Tree” Caravan across Cameroon. Over the next three years, the project is structured to mobilize 2 million schoolchildren, partner with 156 municipalities, and plant 1 million trees tracked by a transparent, scientifically verified seedling survival rate.
